Our board member Norma Jensen participated in the panel discussion at the DemoDay of Business Angels Deutschland (BAND). The event focused on the Women Angels Mission ’25 campaign launched by BAND, which the BBA has supported since its inception. The goal is to increase the proportion of female business angels to 25% by 2025.
The energy was literally palpable: So much expertise, passion and joy for the future in one room. Here, all those who promote the topics of Female Investing and Female Founders came together and had a lot of time for exchange, getting to know each other, deepening, renewing and networking. Everyone agreed that the future can only succeed if we work together. A great location at DEEP in Berlin and an exciting, very diverse mix of guests and contributors.
Angel investing needs more women and female founders need female investors, everyone agreed on that. Under the motto StartUps im Porträt, numerous female founders were able to present themselves during the event: Arang, Boomerang®, Clouz, eco:fibr GmbH, Goldmarie Finanzen, Idana, MealGood, mealy, oh Circle, pimento formate GmbH, RAKETENSTART, samplistick GmbH, SmartLoC – Smart Letter of Credit GmbH, teethlovers and valupa. Here connections were made, stimulating conversations were held and networks were expanded.

Claus Ruhe Madsen has been Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism since 29 June 2022. He was born in Copenhagen on 27 August 1972; he is married and has one daughter.

Als Angel Investor investierte er sowohl privat in Unternehmen als auch mit dem „btov Investor-Network“. Er betreut aktiv zahlreiche deutsche StartUps, Accelerator-Programme und ist Scout im Norden für den „High-Tech Gründerfonds“ (HTGF). Dadurch hat er Zugang zu erstklassigem internationalen Deal Flow und Investoren. Darüber hinaus hat Claas mehrere Aufsichtsratspositionen inne und ist Live-Musiker mit der „Soul Lounge Connection“.
As a serial entrepreneur, investor and business angel, Julian has been involved in the German start-up and venture capital scene since 2003. He focuses on helping selected early-stage start-ups and their founders to turn their ambitions into reality. Investments are typically made in early-stage B2B technology companies with an initial track record. Julian’s current focus is on Industrial IoT, data analytics, B2B platform tools, e-health and 3D. He is particularly keen on spin-offs originating from research foundations and organisations or technical universities, but is also open to other opportunities.
